Aigüestortes National Park and Lake Sant Mauricio is Catalonia's only national park and the center of a large protected natural area. Characterized by a high mountain landscape with almost two hundred lakes, it is a paradise for hiking, mountain biking, and other activities that are ideal to enjoy with our dogs.
Its main feature is the water: rivers, waterfalls, ponds, glacial valleys, and almost two hundred mountain lakes.
Among these lakes, Sant Maurici stands out, a beautiful space at the foot of Els Encantats, which is one of the most emblematic landscapes of Catalonia. Regarding the built heritage, it is basically limited to forest shelters, although the Romanesque churches of the Boí Valley are located right on the edge of the area.
